The OurShack server, "cat", that had been faithfully hosting kfs.org for the last 4 years gave up the ghost. kfs.org has been powered by Roxen Webserver since 1994, and frankly, Roxen still rocks. But since I'm the only OurShack user running under Roxen, I decided that if I was going to set up another RoxBox, I would do it on something closer to my new home here in Texas.
Although kfs.org continues to live in Brighton, England "kfs" is living in Texas, working for WWII Online. Something of a dream come true for me, I've wanted to work on a multi-player game since 1982...
I've cleaned up some ancient loose ends on the site, but haven't yet found the time to devote to overhauling any of the pages, bar removing some redundant or dead information here and there..
I've rehoused kfs.org to OurShack's newest server, and have decided to retire the various variations of the site (e.g. oliver.kfs.org).
Within the next week or so I will be migrating most of the work from oliver.kfs.org back to kfs.org proper. I'm undecided yet whether this will implemented as a merger or a simple migration.
The last year or so I've been working primarily on projects on a machine on my home network, oliver.kfs.org. But I'm now set to move the primary projects back to kfs.org, since kfs.org has increasingly become my personal domain again rather than a mass-hosting site :).
Changes will be coming to kfs.org again soon :)
KFS.ORG has been relocated to OurShack as it's new (hopefully) permanent home.
Just noticed that all the recent news seems to have vanished. Ho hum.
KFS has now upgraded from Spinner to the Roxen web server.
