Andy Who?

All this and more will be skillfully side-stepped leaving you bereft of any interesting detail and stuffed only with mindless trivia.

Andy Wardley: In a Nut's Hell
Name Andy Wardley (duh, silly!)
Born Late Sixties, in a hospital in Chiswick, London, within crawling distance of some of the finest breweries in the world.
Lives in Marital Bliss and Parental Harmony in Guildford, UK.
Height Tall
Weight About right
Eyes 2, both blue
Eats Food. Especially Indian or anything spicy
Drinks Water, black coffee, beer, single malt whisky. Separate glasses, though.
Hacks Perl, Ruby, Template Toolkit, Apache, mod_perl, etc.
Groks Web and Internet technology, Information Architecture, other fancy sounding concepts.
Groks Not Microsoft Windows (DOS in disguise), and other bloated, old-skool, butt-ugly, proprietary and closed source software. That don't help me sir, no.
Plays Piano, kite flying, kite boarding, skateboarding, snowboarding, PS2 (Tony Hawk Pro Skater III, nice :-)
Kites you say? Yep, kites. Played my part in defining a new trick-oriented genre of freestyle flying, worked with my most excellent friend, Tim Benson of Benson Kites, originally as a sponsored flier, test pilot, bridle guru, and eventually as co-designer of the Gemini, the ultimate freestyle flying machine, etc., etc., yah, yah, yah. You can read all about it at the Benson Kites web site if you're really interesteed. Kites are mellow, that's enough for me.
...and a thing about boarding? Oh yes. Switched to snowboarding after 15 years of skiing and never looked back. Been doing a lot of kite-boarding recently, that is riding an all-terrain board (aka "Mountain Board") under the power of a very large traction kite which can deliver some extreme speed and insanely big air. Doing more skateboarding these days, too, although I went off it for a while when I smashed out my front teeth at Meanwhile II. There's a picture of my ugly mouth taken a few days after it happened, if you're curious as to how much damage a concrete skatepark can do to a face.
Favourite Swear Word pants!
Often Asked What did you do in the Winky Wars, Andy?
